Optical locator station (OLS)

OLS is installed onboard Su-35 and Su-35S aircraft and in combination with onboard systems provides surveillance of ground, seaborne and air targets.


OLS performs the following missions:

• detection, lock-on and tracking of air, ground and seaborne targets;
• measurement of range and angular coordinates of targets;
• generation of TV, IR, TV + IR images on pilot’s multifunctional displays;
• illumination of ground and seaborne targets with laser light.
