Blitz-M upgraded spacecraft
The upgraded spacecraft BLITZ-M consists of two spherical menisci and a central spherical lens.
Its purpose is to reflect the laser radiation of the quantum optical station in the opposite direction. In comparison with similar products, which consist of many corner reflectors installed in a metal ball, the Blitz-M spacecraft provides a zero signature of the reflected pulse.
The Blitz-M spacecraft was created for a slant range ballistic standard in order to achieve the specified performance of the GLONASS system in terms of the navigation field accuracy.
